Watching our nation’s leadership politicize, deflect, and dismiss the pandemic, we felt an urgent need to return public focus to the facts. Mobilizing CNN’s Facts First platform, we launched “Defeat,” a rallying cry for how we can defeat the coronavirus: with facts. Not with politics, deflection, or blame — and certainly not with tweets.
